Oxford Owls Youth Baseball welcomes children aged 6-14 of all abilities. Whether your child is picking up a baseball for the first time or already loves the game, they’ll be very welcome with us. We focus on fun, learning, confidence, and giving young players the chance to develop at the right pace.

Our youth programme includes a mix of skills sessions, game play, and opportunities for players to develop at the right level for their age and experience. For newer players, that means a fun and supportive introduction to baseball. For more experienced players, it means meaningful competition and a chance to keep progressing.
We want Oxford youth baseball to be:
- welcoming to beginners
- enjoyable and well organised for families
- development-focused
- ambitious in the right way for players who want to push on
What does my child need to bring? Players should wear comfortable sports clothing suitable for running on grass, plus a hat, water bottle, and any snacks they may need. A baseball glove is great if they have one, but we also have equipment available to borrow.
Does my child need previous experience? Not at all. Everyone is welcome.
What does it cost? Oxford Owls Youth Baseball is a not-for-profit programme. For the 2026 season, we will introduce a participation fee (exact amount to be confirmed), set simply to cover the costs of facilities, equipment, and running sessions. All of our coaches are volunteers, and we also benefit from grant funding generously provided to support youth baseball, helping us keep the programme as accessible as possible. The first few sessions for your child will be treated as taster sessions, so you can come along and see if it’s a good fit — these are free of charge.
Interested in joining? We’d love to hear from you! Please contact us to find out more or to come along to a session.
