The Oxford Kings Baseball Club was established in 1998 by three post-graduate students at the University of Oxford. Beginning as a university society, the Kings became the city club in 2004, accepting any person who wanted to join. We play in the AA Division of the British Baseball Federation, and one of our aims is to be inclusive to anyone who shows an interest. We are a teaching club, so complete beginners can join alongside players who have been playing their whole lives.
Despite having complete beginners, the Oxford Kings have experienced a great deal of success on the field. In eighteen seasons, we have had a losing record only four times. We reached the National semi-finals in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016; we reached the National Finals in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2016, and in 2010 we were crowned the AAA National Champions. We now continue to play in the AA.
