Oxford Kings Baseball Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for every child who plays with us. Safeguarding sits at the heart of our youth programme, and every family should know what we do to keep their child safe.
What we do
- Parents and guardians are always welcome to stay and watch our youth sessions
- All sessions are run by DBS advanced-checked coaches
- Trained sport coach emergency first aiders are present at every youth session
- Risk assessments have been completed for all activities and are regularly reviewed and updated
- Our Safeguarding Officer has completed the BaseballSoftballUK-approved Safeguarding in Sport training programme
- We follow the safeguarding policies and procedures established by BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK), the national governing body for baseball and softball in the UK
Raising a concern
If you have a safeguarding concern related to Oxford Kings Baseball Club or our Oxford Owls Youth Programme:
- Please contact us with “welfare” or “safeguarding” in your message. You don’t need to include details of the concern at this stage.
- Our Safeguarding Officer will then respond to you directly and confidentially to discuss the concern in a secure setting.
